Since the first performance in 1995, the annual Fire Island Dance Festival has become one of the most anticipated events in Fire Island Pines. The weekend-long festival presents a series of spectacular performances by world-renowned and emerging dancers, dance companies and choreographers outdoors against the dazzling backdrop of the Great South Bay. Al has created five original works for the festival since 2013 including WEEKEND ’76 which celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Festival and was a tribute to the island itself.
